Therapy Products, Therapy balls & Autism Developmental Toys for Special Needs Children

Thank you for visiting stepforward123.com where you can find Developmental Toys, Children's Therapy Products and other resources for children with Autism and special needs.

As a case manager who mainly worked with special needs children, children with autism, and their parents, I recognize that they require a special kind of love and attention.

We specialize in selling Children's developmental therapy  products and developmental toys that help develop Gross Motor Skills, Oral Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills and many other vital skills for children with autism and special needs.

In the course of my work, I noticed that, although these therapy products and developmenatal  toys are available to schools and therapists, the availability to the parents at an affordable cheap price is very limited. We take great pride in choosing only children's therapy products and toys recommended by Occupational therapist, Physical therapist and Speech therapists that work closely with us in deciding appropriate therapy products and toys. Our mission is to make these essential therapy products available to parents and Caretakers at an affordable price.

We love helping to meet the needs of Autistic Children and other children with special needs!

  3. Sensory intergration

Sensory diet is a term heard by many parents with autism.  How do I fulfill my child's sensory diet; is a question asked by so many parents.  I asked this to a few different therapist and received one similar response.  You need to see what already seems to fufill his/her sensory needs already then find items that are similar, but have the ability to teach them new things as well.

  4. In light of the recent celebration of The American Disabilities Act other wise known as ACT 20, I thought I would share some helpful information.  Many states offer ACT 20 grants for children with Autism and other special needs.  Some states do not have really low income restrictions and it is based on need for the child instead.  Although obtaining these grants can be difficult at times they can be very beneficial in aiding parents or guardians to make adaptions to their homes for their special needs child or pay for the therapy items needed for home.

  5. I am always trying to stay on the up and up on new resources for children with autism and other special needs.  I have found there to be some very helpful links and an autism magazine called Spectrum also try these links www.autismspeaks.org or www.autism-society.orgcheck out our link page for more helpful links.
  6. New stats show autism on the rise. not what government wants you to know though.
  7. Autism effects many.  Working in the community as a Case Manager it helped me realize that Autism is on the rise but resources are limited.  I have found the best way to find resources is by sharing stories with others.  Use this forum to share your stories and help others find resources. I will start by saying, if you do not know where to begin and your child has been recently diagnosed with Autism start by finding you local county Mental Health/Mental Retardation office and request a caseworker to help you find services and funding to aid your child.
